AEOLIAN ISLANDS - ALICUDI

In ancient times the island was called Ericusa, a name derived from the heather plants still widespread on the slopes and valleys of the volcanic cone now extinct. Here time has stopped: there are no roads nor cars but only paths of lava stone to walk or ride a donkey. Very few stores, only one hotel, but a lot of peace and quiet.
