Calabrian olive pate crostini are an irresistible appetizer that encapsulates all the flavor of Southern Italy. Ingredients
- 12 slices of homemade bread or baguette
- 200g pitted Calabrian black olives
- 2 tablespoons organic extra virgin olive oil
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1 tablespoon of rinsed salted capers
- Fresh oregano to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Preparation
- Blend pitted olives with garlic, capers and EVO oil until creamy pate.
- Season with pepper and add fresh oregano to taste.
- Toast the bread slices in a 200°C oven for 5 minutes until golden brown.
- Spread the pate generously on each crouton and serve immediately.
