Salchicha Curva Calabresa with Patatas de Aspromonte and Pimientos

The second plate of Calabrian domingo

The Calabrian curved sausage is a unique product in the world: spicy, aromatic, with an unmistakable herring shape. Combined with Aspromonte potatoes, yellow pulp and red pimientos, it can be enjoyed in a second rustic and comforting dish.

Ingredients

  • 4 calabrese curved sausages
  • 600 g of Aspromonte potatoes with amarilla pulp
  • 2 red peppers
  • 1 cebolla from Tropea
  • 3 dientes de ajo
  • Extra Calabrian virgin olive oil
  • Fresh Romero
  • Tasted Calabrian guindilla
  • Salt y pimienta al taste

Preparation

  1. Preheat the horn to 200°C.
  2. Peel the potatoes and cut them cleanly. Chop the pimientos in tiras and the cebolla in spices.
  3. Arrange the vegetables in a bowl and season with vinegar, garlic, romero, salt and pimiento.
  4. Place the sausages curved over the vegetables.
  5. Horne 40-45 minutes, giving it a half-cooked turn.
  6. Activate the grill for the last 5 minutes.
  7. Serve hot directly from the band.

Advice

Aspromonte potatoes are famous for their compact yellow pulp. Pin the sausages before horning. A complete plate without the need for additional packaging.
