Description

Calabrian olive pate crostini are an irresistible appetizer that encapsulates all the flavor of Southern Italy. Calabrian black olives, with their intense and slightly bitter taste, are transformed into a velvety pate enriched with capers and organic extra virgin olive oil. Ingredients

  • 12 slices of homemade bread or baguette
  • 200g pitted Calabrian black olives
  • 2 tablespoons organic extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1 tablespoon of rinsed salted capers
  • Fresh oregano to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Preparation

  1. Blend pitted olives with garlic, capers and EVO oil until creamy pate.
  2. Season with pepper and add fresh oregano to taste.
  3. Toast the bread slices in a 200°C oven for 5 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Spread the pate generously on each crouton and serve immediately.
