The name Megonio is inspired by that of the Roman centurion
who settled in Calabria
in the second century A.D. and was the first to provide written data on viticulture
Calabrese.
Description: Ruby color with garnet reflections.
The olfactory impact sees as protagonists
absolute berries and spices, later you
can also perceive a pleasant hint of
smoked. A decidedly full-bodied wine that
surprises on tasting for its fruity facets
and its particular balsamic notes. On the finish
out come nuances of Mediterranean spices,
giving it excellent persistence. A wine
that can evolve further in the bottle.
Pairings: Meat dishes, game,
aged cheeses, fatty and elaborate dishes, but
is also an excellent meditation wine.
