Description
The tart with organic Calabrian orange compote and cinnamon is a sweet of the Italian tradition that combines the fragrance of artisanal shortcrust pastry with the enveloping scent of seasonal Calabrian oranges and organic cinnamon. A simple, genuine, and irresistible dessert—without thickeners, colorings, or preservatives.
Ingredients
250g 00 flour
125g cold butter, cubed
80g powdered sugar
2 egg yolks
1 pinch salt
Grated zest of 1 organic orange
1 jar (250 g) of Tastiness Organic Calabrian Orange and Cinnamon Compote
Preparation
Quickly mix the flour, butter, sugar, egg yolks, salt, and orange zest until smooth. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Roll out 2/3 of the pastry into a greased and floured 22 cm pan. Prick the bottom with a fork.
Evenly spread the orange and cinnamon compote over the crust.
Use the remaining pastry to create classic lattice strips on the surface.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 30–35 minutes, until golden brown.
Let cool completely before serving.
