Sicily is the largest island of the Mediterranean, a crossroads of cultures and civilizations which have succeeded the millénaires, leaving behind indélébile traces in its cuisine, architecture and traditions. Greeks, Arabs, Normands and Spanish all contributed to forging the unique gastronomic identity of this extraordinary land.
The Sicilian countryside is a beauty in the souffle: Etna, the highest active volcano in Europe, dominates the eastern coast with its incredibly fertile lava suns where the famous Bronte slopes can be found. Les Madonie et les Nebrodi abritent des fromages et des charcuteries artisanaux d'une rare qualité. The scented côtes de fleurs d'oranger produce the PGI blood oranges and the biggest two citrons in the world.
