Limoncello tiramisu is a fresh and fragrant variation of the classic Italian dessert, perfect for warm weather. The mascarpone cream is enriched with the intense aroma of artisanal limoncello, creating an elegant and surprising dessert. Savoiardi biscuits soaked in lemon juice replace the coffee, giving a unique lightness and freshness.
Ingredients
300g of ladyfingers
500g mascarpone cheese
4 eggs (yolks and egg whites separated)
150g sugar
100ml artisanal limoncello
Juice of 2 organic lemons
Lemon peel for decoration
Icing sugar to taste.
Preparation
Whip the egg yolks with the sugar until light and fluffy. Add the mascarpone and limoncello; mix gently.
Whip the egg whites until stiff and incorporate them into the mixture with movements from the bottom to the top.
Mix the lemon juice with 50ml water. Quickly soak the ladyfingers and arrange them in an ovenproof dish.
Cover with half the mascarpone cream, add a second layer of soaked ladyfingers and finish with the remaining cream.
Cover with foil and refrigerate at least 4 hours. Decorate with grated lemon zest and powdered sugar before serving.
