Description
Whole-wheat tart with jam is a timeless Italian breakfast classic. Made with whole wheat flour and brown sugar, it is more rustic and wholesome than the traditional version. Ideal to prepare on Sundays to have a breakfast ready for the whole week.
Ingredients
- 300g whole-wheat flour
- 150g cold cubed butter
- 100g brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 pinch of salt
- 300g apricot jam or berries
Preparation
- Quickly mix flour, butter, sugar, eggs and salt until smooth.
- Wrap in plastic wrap and rest in refrigerator 30 minutes.
- Roll out 2/3 of the shortcrust pastry into a buttered mold and fill with jam.
- Decorate with shortbread strips and bake at 180°C for 30-35 minutes.
