Its name derives from a small lake from which in the past was extracted salt. Now, in Salina they don't produce salt anymore but tasty capers now famous all over the world and the malvasia, a wine with a sweet and aromatic taste obtained from raisins. And even here the landscape is defined by the rocks even if there is a small sandy beach in the bay of Pollara....
